For new build and refurbishment projects - adding a lighting control systems is possible with out the need to re-wire. This is possible by using short range digital RF wireless lighting control systems. Shot range digital RF wireless signals will travel up to 100metres in free air. The wireless lighting control system has 2 basic parts, the light dimmer and the light keypad. These communicate with each using RF wireless signals. The compact light dimmer is wired to the light fitting. The light switch is fitted with small lithium batteries and send the control signal to the light dimmer. It is possible for a RF wireless light switch to send signal commands to many light dimmers, thus being able to create a cabin mood light scene system as well as proving a whole vessel lighting control system. With one button turn off all the lights with in the property. All this with out any re-wiring. And like wise it is possible to control a RF wireless light dimmer from a number of different RF wireless light keypads. It is also possible to control lights using a hand held RF remote control. The advantage of using digital RF wireless signals means it is possible to control lights with out the need to be in line of sight as with IR remotes, and secondly as the RF signal is coded, it is possible to create complex lighting controls with different light switches or remote controls setting light levels for different lighting groups with in the property.
